Dear Citizens of Cook County:
Thank you, thank you for your support in the General Election held November 4, 2008. My candidacy was successful due to your support. I look forward to serving you for another 4 years. We have several innovative applications we intend to implement during this next term.
Many of you have had the need for certification of documents recorded in the Recorder’ office. You also have become accustomed to examining and acquiring those document on-line at our website, www.ccrd.info. You have also expressed to me that you would like to acquire certified documents on-line via internet. Your request has not fallen on deaf ears. It is our goal during the next term to get the legislation through that will permit our office to make Certified documents available on line. Of course on-line certification will cost, but you save both time and money. You will not have to drive to our Loop Office and you will save on parking. You will also save time by printing the certified document from the convience of your office or home. We are also examining electronic signatures. Electronic signatures will permit parties to a transaction in different states and countries to execute the necessary documents and record the digital documents on-line. We live in a digital society and we must make use of technology that proves to be efficient, secure and time saving.
I annually attend municipal conferences that promote technology for government entities. I believe that throughout society we must examine avenues that make us more efficient and improve on our service to the citizens of Cook County.
